Welcome to Malmö

The more diverse we are, the stronger we get! Rotary becomes a stronger organisation when we engage people from different backgrounds and professions. We can reach out and take action to create lasting change in our communities and in the world. This will make the world a better and more peaceful place.

Rotary aims to make people feel that they are both welcome and that we belong. This brings us together and will make more people ready to take action. We collaborate as equals, adapting to an ever-changing World. Together we can make an impact.

When coming to Malmö we will show you what we are doing to bring about change in our communities and invite you to share your stories so that we can inspire each other. This will inspire us all to take action in the world and make lasting changes in ourselves and in our communities. Maybe most importantly, we will have a great time together with others in the Rotary family. We will share the power of Rotary and have fun together.

Welcome to Malmö in September 2024!

Hi, I’m Malmö!

Malmö offers a wide variety of events, children's activities, culture, history, and art. There are Renaissance castles and state-of-the-art buildings with test beds for green living and low environmental impact. There are large, lush parks and a sandy beach in the middle of the city that is almost 2 kilometers long. In Malmö, most things are within cycling distance. From here you can take the train or car to Denmark across the Öresund Bridge. In Malmö you can meet the whole world in food and drink.

Malmö is Sweden's third-largest city and the fastest growing. The population growth is mainly due to more people being born and more people moving here. Malmö has a young population, almost half of the inhabitants are under 35. Malmö is home to just over 362,000 people from 186 different countries.
